Renaissance Lighting (Renaissance), a US-based designer and manufacturer of solid-state lighting fixtures, will display its all new white solid-state LED downlight fixtures at LIGHTFAIR International 2009. The new white solid-state LED downlight fixtures have two and a half times more lumens per watt (efficacy) than previous generations. The company also plans to introduce a new remodel mounting frame designed to accommodate the growing lighting replacement market and a square downlight option.

The new white downlights are available in a full range of white light color temperatures (2700K – 4100K) and are enabled using Constructive Occlusion technology, resulting in a highly efficient fixture with uniform, glare-free and bright light output.

A leading innovator in the development and manufacture of solid-state downlight fixtures, Renaissance Lighting will be demonstrating its new products at Light Fair International, Booth No. 875, during the three-day lighting industry conclave here at the Javits Center.

“In less than a year Renaissance Lighting’s products have made significant gains in breadth, value, price, efficiency, output and overall performance – elements that remain critical to the lighting industry’s inflection point and mainstream acceptance of solid-state LED lighting,” said Renaissance Lighting Chief Executive Officer, Barry Weinbaum. “Our customers continue to discover that choosing Renaissance Lighting’s solid state lighting products is increasingly easy, especially when considering architectural creativity, the total cost of ownership and their low environmental impact.”

Renaissance executives also plan to share details of the realignment of its national sales agency network with that of Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Acuity Brands, Inc. In October 2008, Acuity Brands Lighting formed a strategic partnership with Renaissance Lighting that included furthering the US domestic sales footprint of solid-state lighting. This sales realignment is expected to assist both companies.

Earlier this month the federal government’s General Services Administration (GSA) awarded a contract to Renaissance and placed the company on the GSA Schedule for five years in recognition of Renaissance Lighting’s unrelenting commitment to green technology and energy efficiency. Due to the federal government’s push for achieving higher levels of energy efficiency, and as a majority of US Government projects utilize the products and services of GSA Schedule-listed vendors on an exclusive basis, Renaissance is well poised to advance its market position.

During Lightfair, Renaissance also plans to display its recently launched line of RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) downlight fixtures. Available in 4-inch and 7-inch, round and square apertures, these fixtures are the world’s most efficient, most powerful, architectural-grade color LED downlights available. These downlights also are enabled with Constructive Occlusion optical technology and a continuous feedback monitoring system that provides uniform and opulent light output.

The company will also be providing live demonstrations of the new and innovative Rhapsody Color Management System. This system consists of controller hardware and proprietary software which is intuitive to use and allows any user to create individualized programs for controlling multiple groups of light fixtures with dynamic effects such as color intensity, cross-fading and rainbow washes.
