Under the terms of the agreement, Reliance Power will build the 6,000MW of solar generation facilities over the next decade.

Further details about the MOU have not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, Reliance Power commissioned a 100MW solar concentrated solar power (CSP) project located at Dhirubhai Ambani Solar Park at Pokaran in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan.

The integrated utility-scale solar power generation complex, Dhirubhai Ambani Solar Park, features both CSP and photovoltaic (PV) plants.

Capable of generating about 250 million kilowatt hours of clean and green energy annually while contributing to the nation’s goal of energy security, the INR21bn ($336m) CSP plant can reduce CO2 emissions in India by about 2,40,000t annually.
