Ready Credit and Palm Desert bank introduce card kiosks

Ready Credit Corporation and Palm Desert National Bank have introduced a self-service kiosk that issues a prepaid MasterCard card in the US.

This new technology allows consumers to purchase a ReadyCARD Prepaid MasterCard that is activated and ready to use immediately. The prepaid card can be purchased in less than one minute, according to Ready Credit.

The ReadySTATION kiosk will also allow consumers to reload personalized ReadyCARDs and check their card balances for free.

Ready Credit has started deploying ReadySTATIONs in Minnesota and Texas and said that it anticipates a nationwide deployment beginning in the fourth quarter of 2006.
