Qiangsheng Photovoltaic and US vacuum equipment manufacturer have together researched, upgraded, and manufactured the core equipment of thin-film cells with all-new technology. The cost of the equipment is only 25% of its imported counterpart, said Sha Xiaolin, chairman of the Qiangsheng Photovoltaic.
Qiangsheng Photovoltaic is expected to attain an annual production capacity of 500 megawatts (MW) at the end of 2010. Qiangsheng Photovoltaic has begun mass production in three production lines in its factory based in Nantong, an eastern city near by Shanghai. The factory has a production capability of 100 MW.
