PureSpectrum, a lighting company headquartered in Savannah, Georgia, has added multiple products in both the Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) and linear fluorescent lighting categories.

PureSpectrum has added a 15-watt R20 CFL reflector bulb, GU-24 pin-based CFL bulbs in multiple wattages and a 15-watt A-lamp CFL bulbs. The bulbs being added to the product line are all high Power Factor dimmable CFLs and certified by both Underwriters Laboratory (UL) and the US Department of Energy’s Energy Star program.

The company said that the dimmable R20 reflector is used in residential or other indoor settings for down lighting, recessed lighting, track lighting or canned lighting.

PureSpectrum’s dimmable A-lamps are globed lamps, which provide energy efficiency and mimic the aesthetics of incandescent bulbs. The GU-24 pin-based CFLs are used in the hospitality industry and other commercial settings to provide energy efficient lamplight, the company added.

In addition to the CFL models, PureSpectrum is also expanding its linear fluorescent product line to include a one-switch step-dimming ballast to complement the two-switch step-dimming ballast and fixtures, which were introduced earlier this year.

The company plans to continue work on the development of a wireless continuous dimming ballast for linear fluorescent fixtures expected to be completed later this quarter and launched early in the third quarter.

The company recently introduced its first Light Emitting Diode (LED) product, a PAR38 floodlight which will be available in May.

PureSpectrum expects to have as many as 19 products certified by UL and Energy Star by the end of the second quarter with several more products expected to receive certification in the early stages of the third quarter.

The company said that it will be prepared to receive orders for all CFL and linear fluorescent products in May but PureSpectrum director of product development Garth Kullman said delivery time may vary according to product.

In addition to identifying new products to be incorporated into the company’s product line, PureSpectrum has continued ongoing development efforts for various models of bare spiral and reflector CFL bulbs.

Based on the availability of adequate funding and an adherence to the currently proposed testing schedule, the company is expecting multiple dimmable bare spiral and reflector CFLs to complete the certification process for both UL and Energy Star before the end of the second quarter.
