Russian electrical equipment manufacturer Power Machines has received a RUB4 billion contract from Atomenergoprom to supply auxiliary equipment for the power Unit-4 of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant in Russia's Tver Region.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant (NPP) comprises three operating power units with a water-cooled reactor of 1,000MW each.

Under the terms of the contract, Power Machines will supply a set of heat exchange auxiliary equipment for the K-1000-60/3000 steam turbine of a power unit under construction, including pipelines and pipeline fittings. The deadline for the supply of the equipment is 2010 year-end.

The Unit-4 of the Kalininskaya NPP, which is to be put into operation in 2011, is being constructed within the framework of Russia’s Federal Target Program, which calls for the development of nuclear power complexes in Russia.
