Program offerings incorporate equipment rebates of up to $300 per qualifying appliance for the purchase of high-efficiency natural gas equipment, weatherization assistance of up to $3,500 for low-income residential customers of the company, and weatherization assistance of up to $15,000 for non-profit commercial customers of the company.

Frank Yoho, Piedmont’s senior vice president for commercial operations, stated on the new programs, Piedmont is pleased to be able to offer these new programs to our residential and commercial customers in North Carolina. We believe they will provide an important level of support for customers who might otherwise find it difficult to enhance the energy efficiency of their homes or businesses by installing various energy efficiency measures or by purchasing high efficiency natural gas equipment to replace older, less efficient natural gas equipment. At the same time, we continue to work with regulators in the other states in which we serve customers to create similar opportunities.
