The 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) Mt. Olive cryogenic natural gas processing plant complements the company’s 200 MMcf/d Lincoln Parish cryogenic natural gas processing plant built in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana.

The Mt. Olive facility comprises on-site liquids handling facilities for inlet gas as well as additional residue gas and NGL pipelines.

With a throughput capacity of approximately 400 MMcf/d, the 14-mile residue gas pipeline provides access for the market for residue natural gas from the Partnership’s processing plants.

Designed with a throughput capacity of more than 36,000 barrels per day, the 41-mile NGL pipeline connects the processing plants to third-party pipelines.

PennTex president and COO Rob Bond said: "The addition of the Mt. Olive plant positions us for continued growth across the Terryville Complex."

The project created 22 full time jobs, approximately 600 construction jobs and engaged approximately 20 local firms.

PennTex Midstream Partners senior vice president and chief operations and engineering officer Tommy Stone said: "Working with our partner companies and the local, state and federal agencies, PennTex has been able to successfully design, build and commission these facilities in an extremely safe and efficient manner to meet the processing requirements of our customers."

With the construction of the Mt. Olive plans, the company completed the second phase of its Terryville Complex assets.

Completed in May, the Terryville Complex first development phase involved the Lincoln Parish plant as well as 31-miles of related natural gas gathering and residue gas transportation pipelines.

PennTex Midstream is responsible for providing gathering, processing and transportation services for Terryville Complex customers under long-term, fee-based agreements.
