A standard offer programme in Ontario will see the output from 22 proposed renewable generation projects contracted for a 20-year period at C¢11/kWh (US¢9.4/kWh).

The projects, each of which is 10 MW or less to qualify for the fixed-price deal, have a total capacity of 140 MW. A further 58 projects with an unspecified capacity are also under consideration

Projects require an investment of some C$336 million ($285 million) by the Ontario Power Authority (OPA). Power from solar projects will receive a higher rate of C¢42/kWh (US¢35.7/kWh)
