Offshore Turbine Services and Seazip Offshore Service BV have collaborated to deliver a Lieutenant P CTV for for the construction of Tahkoluoto Offshore Wind Farm in Finland.

Tahkoluoto wind farm marks the first tie up between the firms that claim to operate in same quality and health and safety focused way.

Initially, the Lieutenant P vessel served the foundation installation contractor to support the marine civils aspect of the construction phase.

Following the completion of that task, the wind farm owners wanted to place the vessel on hire to assist with the next phase of the construction supporting the turbine manufacturer techs on site.

The Offshore Turbine Service vessels use Rolls Royce jets for propulsion and are claimed to be suitable for close inshore and shallow draft projects.

The fuel efficient vessels, that are 99% reliable, have moveable wheelhouses that will enable to organize activities such as generator refuelling, blade inspection and repair and marine civils work support.

The 6 Damen Twin Axe CTV is commercially managed by the SeaZip Offshore Services that also serves as commercial manager for third party vessel owners.

SeaZip Offshore Services has JR Shipping fleet and trade lines that provides the firm a pathway to the Finnish market.

It has its offices across Harlingen, the Netherlands and the UK, and the Offshore Turbine Services operates in Brixham, England.

Tahkoluoto Offshore Wind Farm, constructed by Suomen Hyötytuuli in Pori, will demonstrate offshore solutions suitable for conditions in the Baltic Sea.
