Novomer, Inc. (Novomer) has announced the resignation of Charles Hamilton as president of the company. Hamilton has stepped down to pursue other interests. With his departure, Jim Mahoney, the chief executive officer of the company, will assume Hamilton's responsibilities. Hamilton will serve the company in a consulting capacity for several months to help ensure a smooth transition.

“Charles has effectively guided the company from its earliest days, through its Series A funding and the release of its first product,” said Mahoney. “Charles leaves us in an excellent position, and he has the warmest thanks of Novomer’s board and employees. We wish him the best, knowing that he’ll apply his considerable business expertise to help make another enterprise a success.”

“I’m really enthusiastic about the direction of the company,” said Hamilton. “I’m proud and count myself lucky to have played a role in building a great, experienced team to move Novomer’s technology to the next level. Now I look forward to putting my entrepreneurial experience to work in a new technology venture.”
