The project will provide about 360,000 dekatherms per day of firm transportation service on Northwest Pipeline’s mainline to delivery points as far south as Ignacio, Colorado. At Ignacio, Northwest Pipeline interconnects with El Paso Natural Gas and Transwestern Pipeline Company. The cost of the project is about $60 million.

“Completion of the Colorado Hub makes it possible for us to connect the Piceance Basin supplies with markets in the western U.S. through Northwest’s existing mainline system,” said Phil Wright, president of Williams’ gas pipeline business. “We appreciate the efforts of the FERC and other state and federal agencies in their timely and professional review and approval of the project.”

In August 2007, Northwest Pipeline conducted an open season for the project and filed an application for a FERC certificate in September 2008.
