Under the contract, Nordex has agreed to provide ten Nordex N100/2500 wind turbines.
In addition to this, Seci Energia has signed a contract for at least five years of Nordex Premium Service.
Nordex will deploy the turbines in the 25MW San Biagio wind farm in Calabria Region as of July 2012.
San Biagio wind farm will generate about 50GWh of electricity a year, sufficient to cover the electricity requirements of some 15,000 Italian households.
Nordex CSO Lars Bondo Krogsgaard said with San Biagio, the company will sell the first batch of the N100/2500 for installation in Italy.
