Saudi Arabia will spend more than US$300M on the construction of new dams in various parts of the country, according to Agriculture and Water Minister Dr Abdullah Al-Muammar.

The dams to be built are the Wadi Huly dam (which will cost an estimated US$100.4M), Rabigh dam (US$45M), Laith dam (US$33.1M), Wadi Arda dam in Baha (US$37.3M), Wadi Atoud dam (US$40M) and Beesh dam (US$52.8M), according to the minister.
