South Korea’s KHNP has bought a 3.2 MW trailer-mounted diesel generator for use in a Fukushima-type loss of onsite power.
KHNP said that the generator increases the means of KEPCO’s ability to control its nuclear power plants (Wolsong, Kori, Shin-Kori, Hanul and Hanbit) under their own power, with on-site emergency diesel generators, with replacement AC generators, or with the mobile diesel generator.
The generator was made by STX Engine.
