According to the company, the project is now complete for submission to Empresa Nacional de Energia Electrical, Honduras’ national electric company, for its power purchase agreement.
Minerco is planning to apply for the power purchase agreement by the end of this year.
The project has secured all the necessary approvals and contracts from the Secretaria de Recursos Naturales y Ambiente, Honduras’ natural resources and environmental ministry, including the operations contract and water contract.
Minerco has also secured all the necessary parcels of land for the construction of all phases of the Chiligatoro hydroelectric project.
