US-based renewable energy development company Mesa Power Group and Wind Tex Energy have collaborated on the development of Stephens Bor-Lynn wind project (SBL) located in south of Lubbock in the US state of Texas.

Mesa Power will install 233 units of GE 1.6MW wind turbine in the SBL project, located in Borden and Lynn counties.

The wind project is planned to commence commercial operations in the next year, and will produce 377MW of electricity when operating at full capacity.

Mesa Power is planning to complete development and obtain financing for the project in the second half of this year, the company said.

SBL has executed an interconnection agreement with Wind Energy Transmission Texas, and will interconnect to a Competitive Renewable Energy Zone line that will be completed in early 2013.
