Makpetrol will be selling a liter of biodiesel for MKD60, which is reportedly MKD0.5 higher than the regulated price of normally available diesel.

The country’s legislation mandates that fuel retailers sell a mix of fossil fuel with a 2.5% to 5% biodiesel component. The mandate also calls for a 20% biodiesel component by 2020.

These regulations are reportedly not implemented as there are no clear standards pertaining to the quality of the fuel and also because there are no incentives available to biodiesel producers.
