The project financing has been provided by RBC Bank USA’s Knowledge Based Industries group.

Lime Energy commenced power generation at the landfill project in mid-October and the current generating capacity is 2.8MW, enough to power approximately 4,000 homes.

Initial funding for the power project was provided by Lime Energy with no cost to the county or its taxpayers, the company said.

Lime Energy Asset Development group president Eric Dupont said from its inception, this renewable project has been designed as a mutually beneficial economic and environmental partnership.
