The electric supercar Inizio engineered with-ion Motors’ lithium-ion battery technology and management system can travel up to 321km on a single charge and has a top-speed of 272 km/hour.

Inizio, which has been designed, engineered and assembled at Li-ion’s manufacturing facility in Mooresville, North Carolina, is slated for launch in mid-2011 and will be priced starting at $139,000.

Li-ion Motors president and CEO Stacey Fling said that the company is excited to unveil the Inizio as this car is the culmination of many years of research and development.

“We’re looking forward to the next step of introducing the Inizio to consumers at the upcoming LA Auto Show in Los Angeles, November 18 through 29, and to finally getting this car on the road where it belongs,” Fling said.
