Kursk Nuclear Power Plant's turbine generator temperature control and testing system has been replaced with a new computerized system.
The new system has been installed in the first and second units of Kursk NPP. With the installation of the new system, the control boards are informed about changes in generator temperatures. The system also maintains an electronic record of temperature changes over a set timeframe. This helps the operators to keep a watch on the temperature deviations and take steps to avoid accidents.
In addition, the metrology department has tested the system and has confirmed its efficiency.
