Kentz Corp, through its operating unit Saudi Arabian Kentz Co, has been awarded a $33.6m procurement, construction and commissioning contract by Bariq Mining.

The scope of the contract includes the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works for Bariq’s copper processing plant at its new copper mine in western Saudi Arabia.

The mine at Jabal Sayid will produce copper concentrate with gold and silver credits.

SNC Lavalin is the project’s engineering, procurement and construction management contractor.

Ireland-based Kentz has been operating in Saudi Arabia for almost 35 years focussing on the oil, gas petrochemical and industrial sectors.
