R&S will provide the turnkey installation of the wet bottom ash system for the two 650MW units at Seminole’s coal-fired power plant.
R&S will replace the plant’s existing wet systems with DRYCON dry bottom ash systems, which are expected to increase efficiency at the facility, located in Palatka.
The new system is also expected to lower operating and maintenance costs to the utility while improving environmental performance.
Installation of the new equipment is scheduled next year.
