Birmingham-based juwi Renewable Energies has announced the construction of a 4.51MW Solar PV engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project in Goonhilly, Cornwall, UK.
Commenced in November 2013, the project completed the final commissioning process for REG Windpower on 19 March 2014 and started producing green electricity ahead of the original deadline.
REG Windpower community relations manager Claudia Richard said that the company is pleased to work with juwi in its first entry into solar PV at Goonhilly.
"We are excited to generate safe, clean renewable energy from both solar and wind energy on the Lizard Peninsula."
A ten-year operations and maintenance contract is also in place for the site.
