As per the deal, JFMS will deliver a fully managed service for the supply marine access solutions, support infrastructure and operation and maintenance services of offshore transmission (OFTO) assets.

Balfour Beatty will get assistance from JFMS to complete scheduled and non-scheduled operations and maintenance works.

Technicians of Balfour Beatty have already been transferred to Gwynt y Mor substations at the 576MW offshore wind farm in the Irish Sea utilizing an access vessel and dedicated facilities in the Port of Mostyn.

Balfour Beatty OFTO managing director David Phillips said: "With its significant expertise in the marine environment, extensive range of dedicated assets, skilled resources and responsiveness, James Fisher is best placed to support our support our current and future OFTO asset maintenance programmes."
