Isofoton has signed a power purchase agreement with the Government of the Dominican Republic to begin the work on 44MW solar plant, marking its first facility in the region, reports solarnovus.com.

The new plant is expected to generate 74,532.61MW/hour per year of clean energy, with a peak power output of 50.6MW, which will be enough to meet the power needs of 58,411 homes in the country.

According to the company, the new solar power plant is likely to offset 44,014.16 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
