The IP13 Grouping features Suez Environnement subsidiary SITA, the VINCI group via its three entities VINCI Environnement, Chantiers Modernes BTP and VINCI Energies, along with Eiffage TP, Inova, Satelec, the Hitachi Zosen Inova group, BG Ingénieurs Conseils and Architectes Ingénieurs Associés.

Under the deal, the IP13 Grouping will deliver a first package of services from 1 September 2015 in existing centre operations, and start all design work before the construction and operation of the future plant.

The €273m first phase of the contract will be followed by conditional phases for the construction and operation of the new centre.

The waste collected by SYCTOM will be transformed into new resources with the help of advanced technologies in the plant.

It will work with the National Natural History Museum to contribute in the development and conservation of biodiversity in the urban environment.

The representatives of the IP13 Grouping said: "SYCTOM has adopted an ambitious policy to convert the waste it collects into new resources.

"The new recovery centre that our Grouping is entrusted to build and operate enables SYCTOM to deliver a robust response to the environmental transition issues affecting the Ile-de-France region."

SYCTOM is a metropolitan household waste agency, which manages and recovers waste from 84 towns in the Paris area.
