The project, valued at nearly $60,000, included re-painting of a portion of the tank’s exterior.

Iowa American Water president Randy Moore said this repainting work was necessary to extend the service life of the company’s elevated storage tanks.

"Water tanks serve a vital role in our water distribution systems by enabling consistent water pressure in customers’ homes and businesses, providing adequate water supply during high demand periods and for fire protection," Moore said.

American Suncraft Construction of Medway, Ohio acted as a contractor for the work.

Iowa American Water is a water utility in the state, providing high-quality and reliable water services to nearly 200,000 people.
