The company’s Nansulate product line contains a nanotechnology based material and which are well-documented to provide the combined performance qualities of thermal insulation, corrosion prevention, resistance to mold growth, fire resistance, chemical resistance and lead encapsulation in an environmentally safe, water-based, coating formulation.

Industrial Nanotech CEO/CTO Stuart Burchill said the company began a series of testing procedures for the US Military several years ago and have recently been working with a consultant to define the most suitable applications for its product line in this market.

"Pipelines on nuclear powered submarines and ships and the interior walls of armored tanks and personnel carriers have been identified as areas in which Nansulate coating technology can provide a unique value added benefit," Burchill said.

"We will be working with both current and former members of the military to implement the use of Nansulate in these areas."

The Nansulate product line includes industrial, residential, agricultural and solar thermal insulation coatings.
