ParkPod, a provider of electric vehicle charging systems, has installed a high speed EV charging station (Level II) at the Hilton San Francisco Financial District Hotel in collaboration with Ace Parking, a privately held parking company.
The level II charging station allows the hotel owner to capitalize on the opportunity to provide car charging to its customers, while its software platform easily integrates with hotel’s existing systems, eliminating the need for drivers to buy third-party subscriptions.
The installation of the charging station is part of Hilton San Francisco Financial District’s effort in preparing for the consumer demand that will accompany the release of new EV models from manufacturers such as GM and Nissan.
Hilton San Francisco Financial District general manager Kevin O’Brien said that as a green hotel, hosting the city’s first commercial location level II charger is an honor and an added value to guests and it looks forward to watching the electric vehicle community grow.
