Businesses and the general public will be able to drop off their computers and electronics for free at a Habitat ReStore location near them in the cities of St. Petersburg, Lakeland, New Port Richey and Brooksville, Florida.

The participating Habitat ReStore locations will resell the donated working electronics, while non-working electronics will be sent for recycling by Florida E-Waste Recycling of Tampa in an environmentally-friendly manner.

Proceeds from the ReStore sales, which also includes reusable and surplus building materials, cabinets, furniture and home accessories other sources apart from electronics and appliances, will be used to build Habitat Homes in each store’s respective counties and internationally.

Florida E-Waste Recycling managing partner Mark Sage said that Habitat is a perfect fit for the company’s recycling efforts and the company is excited to have them join the GreenSite Network to eliminate e-waste from their landfills.
