The electricity will be generated by NextEra’s Minco II wind energy center, which is under development in Grady and Caddo counties in the US state of Oklahoma.
The power project is expected to commence operation by the end of this year.
NextEra Energy Resources senior vice president of development Mike O’Sullivan said that with the support of customers like Google Energy, NextEra has built its wind fleet from fewer than 500MW a decade ago to nearly 8,300MW.
Last year, Google Energy signed a deal to buy 114MW of wind energy from NextEra’ Story II wind energy center in Iowa, US.
