Microwave technology firm Global Resource Corporation has signed an agreement with Australian renewable energy firm C6 Energy to introduce Global's energy producing microwave technology to the international markets.

C6 Energy develops systems which convert waste materials and bituminous coal to energy and other usable products.

Under the terms of the agreement, C6 Energy will combine its engineering and design expertise in the area of electricity with Global Resource’s technology for an undisclosed client with global operations. The customer will initially use the technology to extract energy from old tires.

Frank Pringle, chairman of Global Resource, said: C6 Energy’s international footprint in Asia, Africa and Europe will help Global Resource to demonstrate to companies and governments all over the world the value of our revolutionary system for extracting energy from waste materials in an environmentally friendly way.
