Commissioned in June 2010, the LNG plant comprises two storage tanks, a marine terminal and a supply pipeline and has an estimated annual production capacity of 4.4 million tons of LNG.

Under the 13-year contractual service agreement (CSA), GE will provide major maintenance requirements for the facility’s liquefaction train, which features GE 7EA units and compressors along with related auxiliaries.

GE will also provide the site’s power generation equipment involving three GE LM2500+ aeroderivative gas turbine-generators and auxiliaries.

A resident support team will be provided by GE Oil & Gas to deal with all aspects of maintenance on its equipment and a Predictivity package for remote equipment monitoring.

PERU LNG S.R.L. general manager Igor Salazar said: "We are pleased to sign this new CSA with GE because the original equipment manufacturer will provide the parts and repair services as well as the technical expertise of GE’s resident team of field engineers to help ensure the optimal reliability and potential increased availability of our LNG production facility."

PERU LNG S.R.L. is sponsored by Hunt Oil Company, SK Innovation, Shell and Marubeni.
