Two GE DuraStation EV charging stations have been installed at The Fairmont Waterfront, while The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and The Fairmont Empress each have one station.
The DuraStation’s design offers Level II charging, which reduces charging time from 12 to 18 hours to four to eight hours, depending on the size of the vehicle’s battery.
The hotel’s guests and other travelers will be able to charge their vehicles by the charging stations.
The Fairmont Waterfront energy manager Sharon Owen said sustainable travel is important in order to minimize the industry’s impact on the planet.
