On the whole, over 3km of the crossing or 78% of the total planned length has been built since the construction launch. In particular, 88 bridge arms were constructed as well as 85 spans of 34.2m each and two spans of 10m each were installed.

As the bulk of the work could only be performed during the winter period, construction proceeded on a round-the-clock basis. As a result, the work was completed within 235 days.

Gazprom noted that the Bovanenkovo field is a prioritized development target in the Yamal Peninsula. The commissioning of the first start-up complexes for the development of deposits of the field is slated for the third quarter of 2011.

The development’s current estimated 115 billion cubic meters of projected gas production is anticipated to increase to 140 billion cubic meters per annum in the long-term.
