Gas Navarra, part of the Gas Natural Group, is to invest E400,000 in building three kilometers of distribution network after entering into an agreement to begin supplying gas to residents in the Spanish town of Aibar.
The mayor of Aibar, Manuel Martinez, and the general manager of Gas Navarra, Jose Maria Gil, signed a collaboration agreement to commence natural gas supplies to residents in the town during the second half of 2007.
To take natural gas to Aibar, Gas Navarra will build three kilometers of piping from the gas pipeline from Sanguesa to Caseda, in the municipality of Aibar, to the homes and establishments in the town, which has fewer than 1,000 inhabitants. Thanks to this infrastructure, the company expects approximately 200 customers to be able to use the service, from the second half of next year.
The expected investment by Gas Navarra in Aibar totals E400,000, of which over E160,000 will be borne by the town council.
