Under the contract, Gamesa will deliver its first G97-2.0MW Class S turbines for the wind facility located at Khanapur site, located in Maharashtra, India.

The TÜV NORD-certified G97-2.0MW Class S turbine is a new model specifically designed for low wind speed sites in this market. A total of 50 G97-2.0 MW Class S turbines will be supplied by Gamesa at Khanapur wind farm.

With a tower height of 104m, the G97-2.0 MW Class S turbines have been designed specifically for the Indian market in order to enhance turbine performance at low wind speed sites.

The company will also be responsible for the facility’s operation and maintenance services under a long-term arrangement.

Commissioning of the first phase of 50MW of the project is planned by March 205, while the second phase of 50MW is scheduled by June.
