The turbines will be employed by the company at a wind farm in Shandong Province where construction is currently underway with grid connection expected by the end of 2012.

Gamesa’s partnership with China Guangdong Nuclear Wind Energy, which is part of the state-owned China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, takes the company’s total installations with the utility to 350MW spread over the provinces of Shandong, Liaoning and Heilongjiang.

The Chinese utility has thus far employed 3000 of Gamesa’s 850 kW and 2.0MW turbines at 60 sites across the country in the past three years.
