According to the company, this device strengthens the newest turbine system it has released to the market, the G10X, with 4.5MW of unit capacity.

It shares the same design standards as the G128-4.5MW Class IIA, including minimal cost of energy and a modular design, which makes it as easy to transport and assemble as a 2MW turbine and simplifies maintenance.

The G136-4.5MW turbine is now commercially available for installation in 2012.

Gamesa sales and projects general manager Javier Perea said that the G136-4.5MW turbine benefits from the exhaustive validation and testing program conducted on the G10X-4.5MW platform.

With a 136-meter rotor diameter and a hybrid 120-meter tower, the new turbine features all of the technologies Gamesa developed for the G10X-4.5MW system.
