Under the contract with Concord New Energy (CNE), Gamesa will be responsible for supplying and installing 24 units of G90-2.0 MW turbines at the Cangfang wind farm in southern China.

The turbines at Cangfang wind farm, located 3,400m above sea level, have been designed to withstand the low temperatures and low air density conditions typically encountered in some regions of south-west China.

Gamesa will deliver the turbines to CNE in May this year which will enter service during the second half of the year.

The company will supply, install and commission of 25 G97-2.0 MW turbines at Phase II of the Senjitu II wind farm, as part of the contract awarded by Hebei Construction & Investment.

Gamesa already supplied 50MW of turbines during phase I of the Senjitu project.

The deal with Hebei forms a part of the master agreement signed by the two companies for the supply of a total of 150MW in September 2014.

Since 2008, Gamesa has signed orders for the supply of 300MW to Hebei Construction & Investment, which is said to be the largest operator in the province of Hebei.

To date, Gamesa has installed over 3,900MW of turbines in China.

Additionally, the company recently secured an order from New Era Enviro to develop 23MW of solar power capacity in the Indian state of Telangana.

Gamesa will develop three solar power plants with capacities of 5MW, 10MW and 8MW in the towns of Bujarampet, Ellanthakunta and Mankondur, respectively.
