Developers at Greene Turbine have created a hydroelectric energy system that will produce clean electricity on a large-scale and sustainable basis, the company said.
The Greene Turbine system uses a closed-loop fluid drive system that turns without a mechanical gearing system.
The Greene Turbine will use river and ocean currents to generate significant amounts of renewable energy, and the ocean systems will generate 10MW of electricity per turbine in Mississippi.
