Foster Wheeler wins coal steam generators contract in Vietnam

Foster Wheeler has entered into an agreement with Shanghai Boiler Works for cooperation in the design of two pulverized coal steam generators for the Vinh Tan II Project for Vietnam Electricity (EVN).

The project will be located in the Binh Thuan Province of south Vietnam, and the new steam generators are expected to start commercial operation the fourth quarter of 2013 and second quarter of 2014.

Shanghai Electric Group, the parent company of Shanghai Boiler Works, is the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the project.

Foster Wheeler will provide the design review of the two 622MWe generators for Shanghai Boiler Works.
