Under the agreement, the US-based technology solutions provider FMC will supply up to 16 subsea manifolds.
According to the company, the initial order includes 11 manifolds, tools and controls, which is in addition to the three subsea manifolds of similar design ordered by the oil firm earlier in 2013.
Delivery of the equipment, which will be engineered and manufactured in Brazil, is expected to commence in 2015.
FMC Technologies subsea technologies senior vice president Tore Halvorsen said that this is the fourth award received from Petrobras for its pre-salt fields.
"We have made significant investments in our Brazilian operations to meet Petrobras’ needs and to provide greater local content in relation to these projects," Halvorsen added.
