Poland is preparing to build two nuclear power stations to diversify its energy supply and GEH will bid on a nuclear plant construction project.

Polish utility Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE) is expected to open the project-bidding process this month.

PGE plans to complete its vendor selection in mid-2013 and has targeted 2020 as the commercial date of operation for its first nuclear power station.

US-based GEH is a provider of advanced reactors and nuclear services, and it was established in 2007 by GE and Hitachi to serve the global nuclear industry.
