FirstEnergy has announced that its subsidiary FirstEnergy Solutions has been licensed by the Illinois Commerce Commission as an electricity generation supplier in the Ameren service territory in Illinois.
Arthur Yuan, vice president of sales and marketing at FirstEnergy Solutions, said: Even though FirstEnergy Solutions is a new electric generation supplier in Illinois, we have been very active in deregulated markets for more than 10 years.
Our knowledge of the regional marketplace, combined with our innovative products and services, already have helped us secure several commercial and industrial customers in the Ameren area, and we plan to expand our customer base there even more.
