Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and four state-owned Vietnamese banks have signed contracts for loans worth US$191M for the construction of the An Khe Ka Nak and A Vuong hydroelectric power plants in Vietnam's Central Highlands.

According to the Vietnamese News Agency, of the total sum, US$102M will be invested in the 210MW A Vuong plant, and the remainder in the 173MW An Khe Ka Nak plant. The two plants will generate nearly 1.5 trillion kWh of electricity each year, and will be subject to investment totalling US$476M.
