David Colangelo, developer of Eva-Dry, has reported that competitive products’ have a six to eight week lifespan, more costly to use over the long-term and are harmful to the environment.

The moisture remains locked in the spill-free unit until the product is ready for its quick and easy renewal process. Once the dehumidifier has reached its maximum moisture capacity, it should be plugged into a standard power outlet and within a few hours the moisture absorbing capability is completely restored. The process can be repeated for up to ten years.
