The well is located at the West Firsby Field in the East Midland region will be back in production early next year..

A suspected hole in a section of the tubing led to the well being shut although there has been no evidence of any leakage of oil at the site.

Currently, a work over programme is being submitted to the Health & Safety Executive for approval. The company has also arranged for a rig to carry out the necessary repairs.

The Company’s average daily production had been running at approximately 200 barrels of oil per day, prior to the shutdown.

Daily production is now running at 130 bopd, due to the temporary shutdown of West Firsby 7, reports oilvoice.com.
