Solar power producer Etrion Corporation has completed the 3.5MW Borgo Piave solar park in Lazio, Italy.

The 3.5 MW Borgo Piave park, which was built by Phoenix Solar using Trina modules with crystalline, fixed-tilt technology and SMA inverters, is a ground-based solar PV power plant.

The solar park is expected to produce over five million kilowatt hours (kWh) of clean electricity.

The project is expected to benefit from the 2010 feed-in-tariff of EUR0.346 per kWh and a market price of approximately EUR0.08 per kWh.

A syndicate of banks, including Natixis, WestLB and Mediocreval provided more than 80% of the financing for the project with an 18-year, non-recourse loan.
